The days following a holiday can be prime time for bargain hunters and Thanksgiving is no different. If you are looking for some bargains aside from the usual “Black Friday-Cyber Monday” sort, check out the clearance aisles at your local stores.

Here are some of the things you may find on sale after Thanksgiving.

After Thanksgiving is the perfect time to pick up anything autumnal, as retailers are moving immediately into Christmas mode. Here are a few of the items you may be able to find on sale:

Decor

If you, like me, enjoy decorating your home seasonally, now is the time to pick up your decor for next fall. Look on the clearance aisles for items with an autunm theme.

• Table runners
• Placemats
• Cloth napkins
• Soap dispensers
• Dishes
• Servingware
• Cookware
• Home decor knick-knacks and art
• Dishtowels
• Hand towels
• Centerpieces

Disposable Goods

I like to keep some paper goods on hand so that in the event of a power outage or an illness, I have fewer dishes to worry about.

Baking Items

Only shop for these things if it’s within your budget.

I like to remind people of two things.

#1) You can budget for anything you’d like. You don’t have to live a life of deprivation to be frugal.

#2) Don’t shop just to shop. No matter how far something is marked down, it isn’t a good deal if you don’t need it and you haven’t budgeted for it.

I’m not telling you “don’t shop.” I’m just suggesting you be mindful of what you purchase.
